The Certified Medication Aide course is approved by the Oklahoma State Department of Health. Participants that successfully complete this course and pass the certification exam will be certified as a CMA and will be allowed to perform the duties of a CMA in long-term care facilities for the developmentally disabled, residential care facilities, and adult day care facilities. Clinical practices are a requirement of this class and are included in the 56 hours.

  • Course Prerequisites: TB skin test, social security card, and government issued ID; current CNA license and Six months working experience as a CNA. Students must be 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED before taking the CMA state exam.
